We have been waterproofing basements and cellars in Brooklyn since 2004.
We are not a franchise, a national dealer network, or a referral service that passes your details to whoever is nearest. We are a Brooklyn contractor based at 429 Kent Ave in Williamsburg, and the people who answer the phone are the people who do the work.
Water gets into a building for a small number of reasons. The important part is figuring out which one applies to yours before recommending a system.
We work across Brooklyn. If your property is outside the borough, we will tell you rather than take the job and subcontract it. We also assist with DOB violation removal and permit-related work.
We would rather show you the paperwork than describe ourselves with adjectives.

Three documented jobs spanning 2015 to 2025 – a decade of work in this borough.
A damp wall is not automatically a foundation problem. A crack is not automatically structural.
The first job on any visit is establishing what you are actually dealing with. We explain what we find before recommending the work, including when the solution is smaller than you expected.
We explain the method, not the brand. Our work uses standard, verifiable systems such as interior perimeter drains, exterior membranes, vapor barriers, sump systems and drainage. You can research them, compare them and price them elsewhere.

Most waterproofing advice online is written for a detached house on an open lot where a contractor can excavate around all four sides.
Brooklyn is different.
Row houses, brownstones and attached or semi-detached homes often have party walls that make exterior excavation impossible on two or three sides. Older properties may have brick or rubble foundations that behave differently from newer poured-concrete construction. Lower-lying and waterfront areas can also present different groundwater conditions.
Excavation beside an adjoining property is another consideration that matters here. None of this is exotic. It is simply Brooklyn, and the building itself determines what can realistically be done.
Interior drainage means breaking the perimeter of the floor. Exterior waterproofing means excavation. Foundation work can involve structural considerations and NYC permitting requirements.
We would rather explain the disruption, access requirements and applicable requirements before work begins than have you discover them halfway through the job. Where work crosses a permitting or professional-design threshold, we will tell you before the work starts.
If you have water, a crack, a musty smell, or a violation notice, call (347) 337-6482. We will look at the problem, explain what we find, and tell you what we think it needs including if that is less than you expected.
